Well... we did what everyone tells you not to do... we dated at work!

It all started when our friend Season (herself an ICU nurse) independently decided we'd be good for each other. At the time, Eric was a nurse practitioner working nights in the cardiac surgery ICU at Cleveland Clinic and Kyle was in his 4th year of cardiac surgery residency. She quickly went to work independently drumming up interest in each other! Of course, Kyle was late for our first date because he was stuck in the OR doing a case. Thank God, Eric was a good sport about it and even had food waiting because he knew Kyle would be hungry from working all day.

The rest, as they say, is history...

We continued dating through Kyle's demanding cardiac surgery residency, through a global pandemic, and very quickly moved in together. Despite all these challenges, our relationship grew stronger. As they say: "the couple that opens a patients chest in the ICU and crashes onto central ECMO together, stays together."

We got engaged in Key West in April of 2021. A few months after that, we moved from Cleveland to Detroit and started new careers. We have traveled the world together, raised our dog(ter) Stella together, and now are thrilled to share our love with everyone in one of our favorite places to travel - Northern Michigan!
