Traveling to Petoskey
Petoskey and the surrounding area are quite spread out! Having a car, whether driving from home or renting one at the airport will be very helpful for exploring everything that this area has to offer!
If you choose to fly in, there are two nearby airports. Pellston Regional Airport (PLN) is approximately 30 minutes away by car and Delta offers daily service to Detroit Metro Airport. It is a very small airport, but Avis, Hertz, and Budget car rentals are available on-site.
Traverse City Airport (TVC) is approximately 80 minutes away by car and offers flights on multiple carriers around the Midwest. It is a full service airport with many rental cars available.

Alternate accommodations
We recommend staying at the Inn at Bay Harbor if possible, as it is the site of all wedding events and is very centrally located.
However, there are many other options in the area. For alternate accommodation, we recommend Stafford's Perry Hotel in downtown Petoskey or The Earl in Charlevoix.
There are also hundreds of properties on Airbnb and VRBO in the surrounding area, especially on Lake Charlevoix and (our favorite) Walloon Lake.
